Sized for multi-day trips, the Base Camp Voyager Duffe—32L offers internal organization and light and durable body fabric made with recycled polyester. Lightweight and durable. Recycled webbing, buckles, and mesh. Comfortable, padded shoulder straps unclip and conceal behind the back panel so you can carry it as a backpack or duffel. Side handles cause the duffel to sit away from your body so it doesn’t swing into your side when you’re walking. External, secure-zip, padded 15” laptop pocket. Internal, secure-zip pocket holds small essentials. Adjustable divider in the main compartment lets you position your gear, or you can remove the divider completely. Small, external, secure-zip pocket holds quick-access items such as a passport. External water bottle pocket. External webbing offers many lash points.

Great quality but pretty basic for the price point. I think a few more zippered pockets on the inside could really help with the functionality. Additionally, the back pack straps are on the side with the largest opening causing them to be in the way. I returned so I cannot speak to the durability of this bag. However, there were much cheaper options found at REI with the same functionality and assumed durability based on the materials used. If you are someone that loves name brands and needs a basic bag that can function as a backpack this one is great as it is still more affordable than some of the other big brands.

I would give 5 stars, but there was one problem. One of the backpack strap buckles was detached from the bag when I opened it. Not ripped, like the strap wasn’t even sewn down with the buckle.Kinda of a bummer for quality control, because this bag is perfect otherwise. I can fit my boots and and attach my helmet to the side and it fits in the Air Canada overhead bin, so perfect for ski vacations. And it packs down so well I can put it and my boots and helmet back in my suitcase for the return trip.Plenty of space, strong material, great colors, nice water bottle pocket, like the duffel/backpack combo.I would have just returned it for a new one but I was cutting it close for a last minute trip so I just sewed the buckle back on. No biggie, I just shouldn’t have to do that with a brand new bag.Hopefully this is just a random one-off, and I’m willing to update to 5 stars if North Face reaches out. It seems like a small error rather than a quality issue with the bag, the other buckle is rock solid. It’s a great bag and easy to get a lot of use out of it.
